    EVEREST MEN RESPECT WOMEN

    Everest Metro Police will partner with the Village of Weston, the Women's Community, the D.C. Everest School District, the Marathon County DA's Office and the Hmong 18 Clan Council to provide preventative education and intervention of domestic abuse. The Everest Men Respect Women campaign will emphasize public awareness. By shedding light on the issue, we hope to make a significant dent in domestic abuse in our community. more

    ROBBERY PREVENTION AND AWARENESS TRAINING

    Robbery is a threat that must continuously be reviewed because in addition to its potential for high loss, it is one of few threats which also carries with it the possibility for personal injury. However, with understanding and effective countermeasure efforts, the threat of robbery can in fact be prevented, and those which do occur properly managed. In addition, through effective planning, the safety of employees, customers and law enforcement officers can also be better assured, as well as the limiting of losses, recovery, and the apprehension and successful conviction of offenders.     K-9 PROGRAM

    Canines are one of the fastest growing tools for police to use in the fight against crime. Canines can be used in Narcotics Detection, Bomb Detection, Tracking, Arson Detection, used by Wildlife and Conservation officers in the detection of contraband game/fish, or just as Patrol Dogs or a combination of several specialties.     SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS

    Dave Sabel and Frank Wierzbanowski are school based Everest Metro law enforcement officers working as partners with the D.C. Everest School District to protect students, school faculty and staff and the schools they attend. more

    CHILD SAFETY SEAT INSPECTIONS

    Everest Metro certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, Officer Brenda Pellowski provides proper advice and assistance to parents and caregivers who want to learn how to safely transport children by using the appropriate child safety seat. more

    D.A.R.E.

    D.A.R.E. is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teaches children from kindergarten through 12th grade how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives. more

    G.R.E.A.T.

    The G.R.E.A.T. Program is a school-based, law enforcement officer-instructed classroom curriculum. With prevention as its primary objective, the program is intended as an immunization against delinquency, youth violence, and gang membership. more

    NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

    Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that stresses education and common sense. It teaches citizens how to help themselves by identifying and reporting suspicious activity in their neighborhoods. In addition, it provides citizens with the opportunity to make their neighborhoods safer and improve the quality of life.     CRIME STOPPERS

    Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization of citizens against crime. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $1000 to anyone furnishing anonymous information that leads to the arrest of criminals, including those committing serious felony crimes, and fugitives. Information is received through anonymous Crime Stoppers tips that are received through a secure tips line or through a secure web connection manned by a professional program coordinator. more

    Everest Metro will publish an online WARRANT REPORT for persons who have failed to resolve matters with the Schofield-Weston Municipal Court. If you know the whereabouts or have any knowledge of any of these persons, call the Everest Metro Police Department at 715-359-4202, or your local law enforcement agency. Your identity will be held in strict confidence. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO APPREHEND ANY OF THE LISTED PERSONS.

    If you see your name listed in the report, you can contact Everest Metro, or the Schofield-Weston Municipal Clerk of Courts to take care of the warrant.
