    ABOUT EVEREST METRO

Everest Metropolitan Police Department is a multi-jurisdictional police department serving the City of Schofield and the Village and Town of Weston.

The department was formed in the fall of 1993 when the Schofield and Weston Police Departments merged. The department is comprised of 25 sworn officers. Led by Chief Wallace Sparks, the members are a widely varied, talented group of dedicated people eager to provide the best reactive and proactive law enforcement services.

The Everest Metropolitan Police Department now serves approximately 16,000 citizens. The area is comprised of a thriving business community, expanding manufacturing and technology, and multiplying residential communities.

    MIRV

The Everest Metro Police have added a Major Incident Response Vehicle (MIRV) to its fleet to better serve the department's Special Investigations Unit.

The MIRV unit will be called upon when investigating major crime scenes. “The MIRV has been custom-built to meet specific investigative needs of the department,” said Captain Scott Sleeter. “The MIRV is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, and will be a central piece of equipment in our response to major crimes and critical incidents.”

The MIRV is a converted 1986 Ford Econoline E-350 RV ambulance donated to Everest Metro by the Weston Fire Department. The MIRV interior was customized by Elite Fire Apparatus of Tilleda, Wisconsin.
